Mike Gegenheimer

Mike Gegenheimer is Of Counsel to Stevens & Showalter. He is the former Chief IP Counsel of Battelle Memorial Institute, one of the world’s largest independent research and development companies, where he managed global portfolios of emerging technologies across all disciplines. Prior to Battelle, Mike served in executive roles including CEO of an operating subsidiary of Owens Corning, and still earlier as the Director of Intellectual Property at Owens Corning. His legal experience includes six years in private practice and three years as a judicial clerk for Ohio Chief Justice Thomas J. Moyer. Mike started his professional career as a civil engineer for consulting, construction and manufacturing firms. With more than 32 years of intellectual property experience, Mike helps clients in the strategy, development, and commercialization of intellectual property. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and Carnegie-Mellon University.
