Professional Experience
Mike Folkerts is a partner who concentrates his practice on patent matters. He has substantial experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in technologies such as gas and steam turbine engines, motor winding, laser printers, and material handling conveyors. He also has substantial experience in providing patentability, infringement, clearance and validity analyses and opinions. Mike worked at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from 1984-89, handling patent applications relating to packaging machines and handheld cutting tools.
